What is overpronation?

Pronation is the foot’s natural shock absorption, but if your foot rolls too far inward when you walk or run, it alters the body’s natural way of distributing weight and absorbing impact. The arch of the foot flattens, and the foot rolls inward, meaning you not only support yourself on the heel and forefoot but also on the inside of the midfoot. Overpronation can lead to pain and inflammation in the arch and heel of the foot, the Achilles tendon, shins, and knees.

Symptoms of overpronation

  • Foot rolling inward
  • Tension in muscles and connective tissue radiating up into the pelvis and lower back
  • Discomfort in the knees
  • Shin splints
  • Discomfort in the lower back and back
  • Soreness or pain in the midfoot and arch

Unique custom-designed insoles for overpronation

If your foot rolls inward, you can correct your foot posture with ZOLES® unique insoles. The insoles are made with arch support based on a 3D scan of your feet.

The arch support ensures a proper dynamic correction of overpronation both during walking and running. The purpose of the arch support is to correct overpronation and provide you with the best possible biomechanics. Once your feet have adjusted to the custom-made insoles, you will experience significantly fewer issues and may even become completely pain-free.

At ZOLES®, we use modern technology when designing your 3D-printed insoles. Each pair of insoles is tailored to individual needs, ensuring the optimal support and comfort your feet require. To guarantee high quality and fit, all insoles are designed and printed in Denmark. Once you’ve scanned your feet, you’ll receive your new insoles for overpronation within a week.
