Cycling insoles that enhance your experience

Designed to meet the unique needs of cyclists, regardless of terrain

Optimization of power transfer and comfort with ZOLES® cycling insoles

In cycling, the power is transferred from the person to the pedals primarily through the feet, making foot positioning, stability, and movement extremely important. Here are some key aspects that make biomechanics and feet special in cycling:

Power transfer:

Unlike walking or running activities, where the feet absorb and generate power in a vertical plane, the feet in cycling transfer power in an almost horizontal plane. An optimal foot position with ZOLES® insoles can lead to more efficient power transfer from your legs to the pedals.

Shock absorption and vibration:

Although cycling is a low-impact sport, the feet still absorb vibrations and shocks from the road or trail. Good shock absorption in the shoes or insoles can reduce fatigue and pain.

Injury prevention through proper support

Hot foot (metatarsalgi):

Cyclists often experience a phenomenon known as “hot foot,” which is a burning pain or discomfort in the forefoot. It is caused by prolonged pressure on the forefoot, which is the part of the foot that takes most of the pressure when pedaling. The pain can be alleviated with ZOLES® insoles, where a metatarsal pad (a small bulge in the insole) lifts the three middle metatarsal bones, allowing blood vessels and nerves to have “clear passage.” The pad is supplemented with an arch support, so the midfoot takes some of the pressure off the forefoot.

Injury prevention:

Misalignment or improper foot support can lead to a range of issues such as knee pain, hip pain, lower back pain, and plantar fasciitis. ZOLES® insoles can help maintain proper alignment and reduce the strain on joints and muscles, thereby reducing the risk of such injuries.

Alleviation of biomechanical challenges:

Many cyclists have biomechanical imbalances due to foot types like flat feet and high arches. ZOLES® insoles are designed to address these specific problems and provide support where needed. At the same time, they help correct your biomechanics and pedaling motion.
